  1. I feel a sense of nostalgia. In the late 80s I went to Spain as an exchange student. I lived with a family (a mother and daughter–the husband had just left the family and was seeking a divorce). Anyway, my twin sister went too. One day, my twin sister went (by herself) to the market place and inadvertently ran into my host mother whom she had never met. Naturally, the host mother mistook my twin for me. Since my twin sister didn’t recognize the passionate woman running over to her, the host mother was deeply insulted.

    Fast forward a few hours…

When I arrived home from school, the host mother was seated at the dinner table sobbing! She looked at me and said, “Ahora me conoces? Why didn’t you speak to me in the market place? You embarrassed me in front of my friends!”

Suddenly, I realized she must have seen/met my twin! I explained that we look exactly alike. She said, “No one looks that much alike!” To make a long story short, the next evening my twin sister came over for dinner and thankfully all was forgiven. Phew!

Interestingly enough, my twin sister just wrote a post on her blog: http://www.stroked.live called “Twinsies.” There’s a photo of us from just a few days ago. The post might make you laugh. I hope you take a look.

    Take care,

    Akwelle

    • Thanks Akwelle. What a great story. I bet you have experienced similar situations many times. I can see your point when viewing the photo in your sisters blog post. All the best to both of you ☺

  2. “Can I top off your coffee, sir?” If the gentleman in the really nice dress slacks (nice capture of the creases) has a particular day there, he probably takes the same table. Nice shot!
